New Circular related to Coronavirus issued by the Qatar Central Bank

A new circular was issued today the 22nd of March 2020 by the Governor office at the Qatar Central Bank related to the current coronavirus crisis.
TSA&Partners has translated the major contents of this circular summarized as per the below:
The circular is mainly addressed to all banks operating in Qatar and it includes the following three points:
1- All banks shall postpone corporate loan re-payment schedules (including principals + interests) for six months for all the business owners that wish for that.
2- The Central bank shall offer 50 Billion Qatari Riyals to support banks’ cashflows and liquidity to cover these six months.
3- All banks shall be waiving all the interest rates and fees for POS systems and ATMs.
The 3 points above shall be considered take effect for the next 6 months starting from 16/03/2020
